About
One of the most difficult tasks in web writing is making something that is inherently boring sound interesting. Such is the case with an “About” section. But, I’m a writer. Using words to make things sound interesting is what I do.
So here goes:
Elite Freelance consists of dedicated professionals whose job it is to…that’s awful. Let’s try again.
Elite Freelance is an eclectic mix of contradictions and non-sequiturs all rolled up in one guy with an awesome t-shirt collection. Brian Williamson, the aforementioned guy, has been writing since he was a little kid. Not much has changed, especially the “kid” part. He’s bigger now, but he still loves to write. Oh, and he’s good at it. He’s even writing in third person right now. That’s how good he is.
Brian loved writing so much that he decided, much to his father’s chagrin, to pursue a degree in English. Having achieved his Bachelor’s degree, he has spent the last 13 years working in several industries: computer security, military contracting, banking, investing, fitness, and software development. He earned his Master’s degree in Computer Science in 2005.
Through it all, he wrote. And he wrote. And he wrote. He honed his skills, perfected his craft, developed his style, and improved his ability to communicate with audiences of varied knowledge and background.
Dude, this guy sounds awesome. I’d hire him.
Sorry, I digress.
I know what you’re thinking: Say, I sure wish I could find something about Brian’s personal life, that would be swell.
Well, I’m glad you asked.
My youngest son calls me hip, my oldest son calls me fa…big boned, and my daughter calls me ‘Daddy’. My wife calls me many things, most of the time Brian. I love music, not all kinds, but a variety. I prefer Chinese food, especially over Mexican food. I don’t fold my socks. I play the drums, badly. I love martial arts (American Kenpo and Kali). I’ve been told on several occasions that I’m pretty fast. I tie my shoes tight. My left leg is slightly longer than my right. I once scissor-kicked Angela Landsbury.
Take that, East St. Louis!
