I have just finished my second Helium article. This one is a Guide to Computer Network Security.
Of course, I’m having serious issues with the formatting of articles in Helium. I cannot seem to get the words put on the page. I only seem to get the Word formatting.
I’m very frustrated.

So I wrote and submitted my first article for Helium today. I am not entirely sure how Helium works just yet, like whether or not someone has approve the article for public consumption. I don’t see it published, so I am assuming that is the case.

The article was about the benefits of craving bad foods while dieting. Unfortunately the formatting didn’t quite transfer from Word to the web. I even tried to leapfrog the article, but it didn’t change anything.

So far, it is the highest rated article in its category. Which is pretty impressive considering it is the ONLY article in its category. Ohhhh yeeeah.

In the past, Information Security was seen as a cost center, a marginally necessary evil that ate into the bottom line. In the past, that kind of mentality may have been true.

But not today.

Information Security is no longer a cost center, and the smart senior executives have realized that. Information Security, like Information Technology is a profit enabler.

In the financial world, Information Security is a selling point. The more comprehensive your Information Security program, the more confidence customers have in your institution as a whole. Financial institutions are facing difficulty right now. That’s nothing new; banks and investment firms have gone through tough times before.

The difference this time, though, is the world surrounding the banks and investment firms. In this day and age, a faceless person from across the world can infiltrate your data and undermine your customers’ confidence.

That’s why Information Security is such an important part of your services. Differentiating your bank or investment firm from others is as simple as having a comprehensive Information Security program that satisfies regulators and maintains integrity.
